LTP Techoices

LTP TeCHoices offers all schools a base of sustainable and supported equipment along with options to enhance learning through tools that allow for new ways of creating and knowing.

How does the LTP TeCHoices program work?

Each fall, DTS will provide schools with a current list of their LTP funded equipment. The list will include:

  • Core equipment ready for refresh during the current school year
  • Floor equipment that has reached end of life and will be removed at the end of the school year
  • The number of points the school will have to allocate for Floor/More equipment in the current year

(In any given year, the number of points available for a school to select new TeCHoices is based on the equipment that is being refreshed or removed from previous Floor or More choices)

Core equipment is provided to all schools equally and may not be substituted for other choices. The chart below lists the number of points allocated per school for Floor & More equipment and the number of points needed for each option.

Using the planning resources provided to you by your LTP Support Specialist, schools will work with DTS and their staff and leadership teams to determine what equipment will best meet their needs. The planning documents are due back to DTS in December each year and selected equipment will be purchased and prepared for use by August of the following year.
