First and foremost, we wish you all the best as you embark on the next step of your life’s journey.
Once you have completed the Exiting Employee Checklist process, your district staff account for computers, email, digital curriculum, etc. will be disabled on your termination date set by Human Resources. For annualized teachers and staff that complete a school year, this will be July 31st.
Note: If you will still be substituting with the St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD), you will retain your current district Staff account for email, Google Apps, and Infinite Visions.
Exiting Employee Checklist:
Set up a final Out of Office message to let people know you are no longer with the school district. From your district Gmail staff account, click on the gear in the upper right corner to display Quick Settings, then select See all settings. Under the General tab, scroll down to Vacation responder. You can do this at any time and schedule it to start responding the day after your last day.
If you need to transfer email messages or contacts to a personal Gmail account, go to https://myaccount.google.com and select Start transfer under Transfer your content.
Check out this Google Support article for more information on copying content from your district account to another account.
To access to your pay stubs, W-2s, etc. in Infinite Visions after you leave the district, you will need to set up Retiree Access. Click here for a PDF of instructions on how set up Retiree Access.
3. Google Drive and Calendars
Additionally, make sure to transfer important personal reoccurring and future events to a personal Google Calendar or write them down.
To transfer your Google Drive, go to https://myaccount.google.com and select Start transfer under Transfer your content.

Reminder – if you have personal photos in your SVVSD Google Photos account, make sure to transfer them to a personal account.
4. Other Computer Documents
Please share any important Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer documents with your successor. If that person does not yet have a district account, share them with your supervisor.
- Personal Computer Files: Make sure to copy any personal files stored on district computers, school shares or file servers to a flash drive. When you leave the district, your computer will be reformatted and all of its contents will be erased.
- Schoology: Check out this Schoology Support article on how to export resources to a personal account.
If you established any classroom or department websites while working for the school district, make sure to take them down or transfer ownership.
6. District-Owned iPad or iPhone
If you have a district owned iPad or iPhone, disable the Find My app, erase the device, and turn it in.

7. District-Owned Laptop Computer
If you have a district-owned laptop computer, please turn it in before you leave. There is no need to worry about removing personal data. As long as you have not shared your password, your account on the computer will not be accessible. In addition, upon leaving the district, your computer will be reformatted and all of its contents will be erased.
