Webex Calling

Starting July 1, 2021, Webex Calling requires the user to manually log into Phone Services to enable it. Click on the links below for your device type and follow the First Time Setup to get started.

Desktop Client (macOS and Windows 10)

First Time Setup

  • Launch the Webex app
  • If you are already signed in, you will need to sign out by clicking on your profile photo and clicking Sign Out
  • At the main screen, type in your full St. Vrain Valley School District email address and click Next
  • At the St. Vrain Sign-On Site, enter your district username and password, then click Sign in
  • Navigate to the Phone Services settings by clicking on your profile photo, click on Preferences (macOS) or Settings (Windows 10), and then click on the Phone Services menu
  • If you see a screen similar to the one below, with your username pre-filled and asking for a password, enter your password and click Sign in
  • If you do not see this screen, things are not working correctly for you or your device and you will be required to enter a Help Desk request
  • After signing in, you will see an Emergency Calling Notification warning you that you should not make emergency calls (like 911) from Webex unless you are at your main office location
  • Click OK to accept it
  • You should now see that you are connected to the phone and voicemail service
  • Click Save to leave the Webex Options menu

Troubleshooting

If phone and voicemail services are disconnected, try the following:

  • Navigate to the Phone Services settings by clicking on your profile photo, click on Preferences (macOS) or Settings (Windows 10) and then click on the Phone Services menu
  • Sign in again by entering your username and password or by clicking a Sign in link
  • If the above does not work, go to the Webex Help Menu, choose Health Checker, and click Reset on the bottom left of the screen to reset the data in the app

iPhone

First Time Setup

  • Launch the Webex app
  • If you are already signed in, sign out by clicking on your profile photo and clicking Sign Out
  • At the main screen, type in your full St. Vrain Valley School District email address and click Next
  • At the St. Vrain Sign-On Site, enter your district username and password and click Sign in
  • If you see the Cisco Login screen below, enter your district username (not email address) and password and click Login
  • If you did not see the Cisco Login screen, then click on your profile picture and go to Settings and select Phone Services
  • You should now be able to sign in with your district username (not email address) and password
  • If signing in for the very first time ever on your iPhone, you will see pop-up windows asking about notifications and allowing access to the microphone
  • After signing in, you will see an Emergency Calling Notification warning you that you should not make emergency calls (like 911) from Webex unless you are at your main office location
  • Click OK to accept it
  • Next, you will be asked to allow Webex to use your location
  • Choose your desired option here to continue
  • You should now see the following page located under Settings > Phone Services that shows you are connected to the Phone Service
  • You should now be able to make and receive calls

Troubleshooting

  • If the above does not work, delete the app from your phone, re-download it and set up the app from scratch

iPad

First Time Setup

  • Launch the Webex app
  • If you are already signed in, sign out by clicking on your profile photo and clicking Sign Out
  • At the main screen, type in your full St. Vrain Valley School District email address and click Next
  • At the St. Vrain Sign-On Site, enter your district username and password and click Sign in
  • If signing in for the very first time ever on your iPad, you will see pop-up windows asking about notifications and allowing access to the microphone
  • If you see the Cisco Login screen below, enter your district username (not email address) and password and click Login
  • If you did not see the Cisco Login screen, then click on your profile picture and go to Settings and select Phone Services
  • You should see a prompt asking for username and password or a link to sign in
  • Sign in with your district username (not email address) and password
  • After signing in, you will see an Emergency Calling Notification just warning you that you should not make emergency calls (like 911) from Webex unless you are at your main office location
  • Click OK to accept it
  • Next, you will be asked to allow Webex to use your location
  • Choose your desired option here to continue
  • You should now see the following page located under Settings > Phone Service that shows you are connected to the Phone Service
  • You should now be able to make and receive calls

Troubleshooting

  • Click OK to accept it
  • Next, you will be asked to allow Webex to use your location
  • Choose your desired option here to continue
  • You should now see the following page located under Settings > Phone Services that shows you are connected to the Phone Service
  • You should now be able to make and receive calls
