LANrev Mobile Device Management (MDM) Service End of Life Announcement

What is happening and why?

You are probably reading this because you received a message on your iPad background directing you to this page. We moved to a new Mobile Device Management (MDM) server for iPads several years ago and are removing the old server  from service.

Any iPads still managed by the old server will need to be erased and will automatically connect to the new server during the setup process. Please remember to back up before erasing! You’ll need to enter your district username and password to enroll your device (see the iPad Setup Slideshow in the Helpful Links section below).

Delaying this step will prevent you from accessing district-acquired apps and other settings important to the safety and security of your data. Please note that support options from District Technology Services (DTS) staff will be limited until completed.

When will this happen?

The MDM service through LANrev ended March 29, 2021.

What should I do if my wallpaper said my iPad is no longer supported?

Your iPad is an older model that it is no longer compatible with the service DTS uses to remotely manage and assign apps to iPads.

You may erase your iPad to remove it from any management or continue to use it as it is currently configured. Please remember to back up before erasing! In either case, you will not be able to receive district-acquired apps on this device and DTS staff will not be able to lock your iPad if it is lost. It would be a good idea to set up Find My iPad for this device with your Apple ID.

How do I know if I need to erase my iPad?

If your iPad background wallpaper changed and directed you to visit this page, your iPad should be erased and re-enrolled to the new server. Please remember to back up before erasing!

Who is affected?

Anyone who still has an iPad managed with our old server.

What do I gain by erasing my iPad?

You will have access to any apps that have been acquired by the district and are being provided to all staff. In addition, your iPad can be locked if you report it lost or stolen.

How do I get help?

Please contact the Help Desk at (303) 702-7730 (or x57730) or submit a work request.
