DTS New Employee Process

  • DTS Secretary is informed an open position is being posted 
  • DTS Secretary 
    • Duplicates the DTS New Employee Checklist Template (see DTS Leadership > Employee – New)
    • Appends the open position’s title to the Checklist title
      • When the new employee accepts the job offer, updates the checklist title with the person’s name
    • Reassigns the line items assigned to “supervisor” to the DRI that is the employee’s supervisor
    • Shares the Checklist with the Directly Responsible Individuals (DRIs)
  • DRIs review their line items and determine if each is
    • Done – task is complete
    • N/A – the employee did not have access to the line item
  • DRIs send any suggestions for updates or changes to the checklist to DTS Secretary
  • DTS Secretary checks DRI progress and sends reminder emails weekly until all line items have been marked
