LTP Site Coordinator Responsibilities

The purpose of the Learning Technology Site Coordinator is to meet the ongoing support and communication needs of schools and DTS around learning technology.

  • Each school will have two (2) LTP Site Coordinators.
    • LTP Site Coordinators can be either Classified or Certified staff.
    • LTP Site Coordinators must be a minimum of 0.8 FTE in the building they support.
    • LTP Site Coordinators may NOT be an Instructional Technology Coordinators or Learning Technology Coach.
  • The LTP Site Coordinators will meet four times per year after school with DTS about LTP processes and critical information.
    • Attendees will receive extra duty pay.
  • A bank of extra-duty pay hours has been allocated to support LTP processes in each school.
    • Each elementary has up to 40 extra-duty hours and secondary has up to 80 hours.
    • Each school’s LTP Site Coordinators may use all of these extra-duty hours, or schools may choose to share the hours with other staff members who play a critical role supporting the LTP.
    • Timecards must be submitted monthly by the 5th. Please download, print, fill out, and return the appropriate timecard/documentation form to Christi Deeter at DTS.

 Elementary (40 hours) Secondary (80 hours)

1st Quarter

  • Attend scheduled quarterly meeting
  • Classroom iPad distribution prep
    • Work with campus team to coordinate iPad classroom set distribution
    • Plan support for teachers for setup
    • Communicate with DTS your building’s iPad check-out plan and schedule
  • Communicate Expectations and Commitments
  • Coordinate family communication
  • Coordinate possible training, PD, and other school identified needs
  • Provide basic tech support and submit tickets for issues as needed
  • Fill out/approve monthly timecards for team
  • Attend scheduled quarterly meeting
  • Coordinate school LTP team
  • Student iPad distribution prep
    • Work with building administration and campus team to coordinate how iPads will be handed out to students
    • Coordinate distribution team and train for distribution
    • Communicate with DTS your building’s iPad check-out plan and schedule
    • Track insurance payments
  • Communicate Expectations and Commitments
  • Coordinate family communication
  • Coordinate possible training, PD, and other school identified needs
  • Provide basic tech support and submit tickets for issues as needed
  • Fill out/approve monthly timecards for team

2nd Quarter

  • Attend scheduled quarterly meeting
  • Monitor devices in MDM
    • Track device check-in
    • Track device updates
  • Provide basic tech support and submit tickets as needed
  • Coordinate family communication
  • Coordinate possible training, PD, and other school identified needs
  • Fill out/approve monthly timecards for team
  • Attend scheduled quarterly meeting
  • Report lost/missing devices if necessary; coordinate recovery with DTS
  • Monitor devices in MDM
    • Track device check-in
    • Track device updates
    • Track disallowed apps, such as VPNs
    • Manage elevated restriction
  • Provide basic tech support and submit tickets for issues as needed
  • Track fees for lost/missing, damages, payment plans, and service agreements
  • Coordinate family communication
  • Coordinate possible training, PD, and other school identified needs
  • Fill out/approve monthly timecards for team

3rd Quarter

~7 hours, elem

~15 hours, sec

  • Attend scheduled quarterly meeting

    • Track device updates
  • Provide basic tech support and submit tickets as needed
  • Coordinate family communication
  • Coordinate possible training, PD, and other school identified needs

  • Prepare for end of year iPad check-in
    • Work with campus team to plan and schedule iPad check-in and location of summer storage, if applicable
    • Communicate with DTS your building’s iPad check-in plan and summer storage location
  • Provide basic tech support and submit tickets as needed
  • Coordinate family communication
  • Fill out/approve monthly timecards for team
  • Attend scheduled quarterly meeting
  • Prepare for end of year iPad check-in
    • Work with building administration and campus team to coordinate iPads check-in plan and schedule
    • Coordinate check-in team and train for collection
    • Communicate with DTS collection dates, iPad summer help requests, location of summer storage, etc.
  • Report lost/missing devices if necessary; coordinate recovery with DTS
  • Provide basic tech support and submit tickets as needed
  • Track fees for lost/missing, damages, payment plans, and service agreements
  • Coordinate family communication
  • Fill out/approve monthly timecards for team
