Name change – update of iPad information (MDM)

When a student or staff member who is using a device assigned to them in the MDM (LANrev MDM) experiences a name change, the following steps need to be taken to update their device with the correct information.

  1. Find the device in Jamf (
  2. Select the User & Location.
  3. Enter the new AD username and hit search.
    1. Once populated, save the change in the upper right.
  4. Have the customer go to Self Service and “Re-Install” the SVVSD ActiveSync/CalDAV profile. *Do not hit this more than once or it may be necessary to enter the password more than 2 times.
  5. On the iPad, have the user go to Settings and enter their password twice (once for email and once for calendar setup).
