TestNav Verification Process

Please keep in mind that if the methods below do not work, you should submit a Help Desk Work Request with the error, what you attempted,¬†and the computer’s asset tag number. Additionally, if utilizing a Macintosh or Windows lab or cart computer, it is recommended to first contact the campus Device Support Specialist.

Verify Chromebook Laptop Computer

  • Do NOT log into the Chromebook
  • In the lower left, look for a menu called Apps
  • Click the TestNav icon
  • If this is the first time running the application, select Colorado
  • In the upper right, select the person icon and in the drop-down select App Check
  • Make sure TestNav reports everything has passed
  • Click Run App Check
  • Confirm App Check is successful

Verify Macintosh-based Computer

  • Log in to the computer
  • In the upper right, use Spotlight to search for the TestNav application
  • Click the TestNav icon
  • If this is the first time running the application, select Colorado
  • In the upper-right, select the person icon and in the drop-down select App Check
  • Make sure TestNav reports everything has passed
  • Next, enter the campus Configuration Identifier found here
  • Click Run App Check
  • Confirm App Check is successful

Verify Windows-based Computer:

  • Log in to the computer
  • Look on the desktop for the blue and white TestNav icon
  • Double click the TestNav icon to launch the application
  • If this is the first time running the application, select Colorado
  • In the upper-right, select the person icon and in the drop-down select App Check
  • Make sure TestNav reports everything has passed
  • Next, enter the campus Configuration Identifier found here
  • Click Run App Check
  • Confirm App Check is successful

Important:

  • At the login page make sure that it says Colorado above the username.  If it does not, look  in the upper right and select the person icon then, in the drop-down, select Choose a different customer, then select Colorado.
  • If you are thinking about using an older device, please test battery life well before the assessment window opens.
  • If the device is a Windows-based computer and was used last year for testing, a message will appear saying this is a temporary profile. This notification is normal and expected.
