Computer Science Education Week, 2017

During and after the school day and throughout SVVSD, students and educators will spend the week of December 4th through 10th exploring, creating, and sharing with computer science principles, which encompass topics from coding to digital citizenship to ethics to hardware and software.

Digital Library

The SVVS District Digital Library offers eBooks, audiobooks, and streaming media for all students and district staff. Over 130,000 digital books were checked out last year – more than any other district in the U.S!

High Ridge Library Partners to Bring Slam Poet to Three SVVSD High Schools

Slam Poet Champion, Joaquin Zihuatanejo, visited 3 area high schools courtesy of the High Plains Library system. Students learned about writing from their own life experiences and were offered a writer’s workshop with Mr. Zihuatanejo. The High Plains Library system is a community partner that provides literacy and community educational supports for free to the area and is available to all students on their iPads through Overdrive.
