Wireless Update

In order to keep all of your devices safe and secure, DTS needs to make an update to your wireless profile, and we need your help!

What do staff and students need to do?

On the morning of October 13th, every staff, and middle/high school student with a district iPad will need to trust the new certificate.

  • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi
  • Top on the “i” to the right of the svvsd network
  • Tap on “Forget This Network”
  • Select svvsd to connect to Wi-Fi, enter your username and password, and tap “Trust” on the new certificate.

IMPORTANT – These steps must be done while at a school and connecting to the svvsd network.

Why Does This Need to Happen?

In order to allow our devices to use the svvsd network safely and securely, we install a security certificate on your St. Vrain devices.  Security certificates periodically expire, and because the current wireless certificate expires soon, we need to install an updated certificate.

Who Needs to do This?

This change will be applied to ALL district devices that connect to SVVSD Wi-Fi.  Most of the changes will be done by DTS remotely, but your iPad (staff and grade 6-12 student devices) will need to follow the steps above to connect to the network.

What if it doesn’t work?!?

If you have a stubborn device that won’t connect you can forget the network and sign in again:

  • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi
  • Top on the “i” to the right of the svvsd network
  • Tap on “Forget This Network”
  • Select svvsd to connect to Wi-Fi, enter your username and password, and tap “Trust” on the new certificate.
