Years with St. Vrain: 6
What does your average day look like?
Typically, my days starts the same as most everyone — E-Mail and catching up on it! I’ll review tickets for the day and try to plan an efficient strategy to travel to the schools I need to visit. Most often I know where I need to go the evening before and I’ll end up starting my activities at the school where the bulk of my work lies. I start very early which is also a great time to start projects that might be disruptive during school hours, such as Audio/Visual work and maintenance on labs.
What are your favorite things about working for St. Vrain?
Wow, I have so many favorite things about working for St. Vrain, but the sense of community and positive culture are premium! I have worked for several large and small businesses, domestic and international which are true leaders of their respective industries, and with that, some of the best inventors and engineers in industry. I can honestly say that, from my immediate co-workers to all the teachers, staff and students I work with daily, the people of St. Vrain top them all and I’m proud to be part of the success that is epitomized by the leadership of St. Vrain.
What are your interests or activities outside of St. Vrain?
My wife and I, being grandparents, spend as much free time as we can with our grandchildren! I enjoy fishing and as a “homer” (go Avs! go Nuggets! go Rockies!) I am a huge fan of any and all Colorado sports teams! Frequently my wife and I travel to Germany in order to visit my rather large family, scattered throughout Germany.
What is an interesting or quirky interest or fact about yourself?
I consider myself an accomplished chef (my wife told me so!) in New Mexican and Bohemian cuisine and have developed some excellent vegan alternatives so as not to exclude my vegan daughter from family gatherings!
