Wireless Outage 9/28/18

We are currently seeing problems with the SVVSD wireless.  If you need immediate access to the network please plug your laptop into an Ethernet cable.  We are working quickly to resolve this issue.  We will update this post hourly with new information.


Update 9:00am:

Efforts have been made to partially/temporarily resolve this issue.  While root cause fixes are developed. Next update 11:00 am

Good morning,

I wanted to personally apologize for the wireless network issues you or those around you may have experienced in the last couple of days. We understand that issues like this can be disruptive to learning and daily operations and we are doing everything in our power to make your experience as easy and smooth as possible. Over the past few days, DTS has worked with the manufacturer and other professional services to address this problem. Configurations and additional resources have been added in an attempt to mitigate this issue. In the spirit of impacting education as little as possible, we will wait to apply this change until Saturday, 9/29, at 6 pm. This will cause a five minute or less outage to SVVSD wireless. After this change is made, rest assured that our team will continue to monitor this closely.
