What does your average day look like?
An average day for me starts with checking e-mail and monitoring systems. This helps to ensure there are no systems that require attention or outages that will affect users. After that, I process new and modified staff accounts from HR to update user information in Active Directory and Google. No two days are the same, but in general I help users with Service Desk requests and work on various projects. I provide support for enterprise level systems to include system reliability and security, updates and upgrades and troubleshooting.
What are your favorite things about working for St. Vrain?
My favorite thing about working for St. Vrain is by and far the people. DTS is a great group of hard working, committed people who strive to go above and beyond to support our staff and students. We come together as a team to ensure that things like student testing goes well and that the LTP roll out is smooth. I really enjoy coming to work every day and being a part of this team.
What are your interests or activities outside of St. Vrain?
I enjoy running and just about anything fitness related. I have run one full marathon and about a dozen half marathons. I like to listen to live music at small venues as often as I can. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and I adore my two grandsons.
