On Friday, we applied a policy to disable wireless on Mac desktop computers, but mistakenly also applied this to a number of Mac laptop computers as well. To check if your wireless has been disabled by this policy, go to your Wi-Fi menu in the upper right corner of the screen as pictured below. If it shows no wireless networks and the message Wi-Fi: No hardware installed, your computer was impacted by this policy.
We have sent out a job to fix this from the management server. Since the computer is unable to connect to wireless, it will need to be plugged in to the wired network and rebooted. It would be best to leave it plugged in for about 10 minutes prior to reboot so the job has time to take effect.
